None of my friends wanted to pose as subjects for my shots, so I used my pets instead. Once again, I went through the agony of working with animals. The lizard (Ziggy) was a lot easier to work with than my cat (Saphira). For the Ziggy shots I used her heat lamp as a light source as well as the lights in the room. For the Saphira shots I used regular lighting. I tried to use aluminum foil to redirect the light as well as a sheet to soften it, but didn't like the results all that much for Ziggy because the light was reflecting off the glass of her tank. Also, for Saphira, because she has a dark face and a light body the shadowing was much easier to hide.
Initially this image was blurry (the numbers the needle and the fasten seatbelt light). By playing with the levels on the curve tool option I was able to eliminate the blurryness and add a faded look.
I went to sleep with my camera next to my bed so as soon as I woke up I could start taking pictures from the hip. I woke up to a sunny day, so I changed my ISO to 100 and the light setting to Sunny. As I ventured from my bed to the kitchen I took shots that would illustrate me getting my caffeine fix. The final shot is purposely blurry to illustrate the jittery feeling caffeine gives you.
Again, I used the same picture as in the Magnetic Lasso, but selected the wind chime above the pine tree. This chime had a lot of copper colors so I selected a spot and changed the tolerance to 50.
